Basketball Recap: Juneau-Douglas Takes Down Ranked Soldotna

On Thursday, Juneau-Douglas faced Soldotna in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears took down the Soldotna Stars 64-49. The win was some much needed relief for the Crimson Bears as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Juneau-Douglas' victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Soldotna, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-3 record.

Juneau-Douglas won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Homer at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Soldotna, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Palmer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
