McCormick got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Darius Houston out in front who scored 20 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Durant, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shamorion Palmer, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Palmer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Treveon Hinton, who scored 12 points along with four steals and two blocks.
McCormick pushed their record up to 23-3 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Denmark-Olar, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-6.
McCormick's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Christ Church Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on February 22nd. Christ Church Episcopal knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 contests -- so hopefully McCormick likes a good challenge.
