It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Norfolk Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Walsingham Academy Trojans 4-3. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Norfolk Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Walsingham Academy, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norfolk Academy will host Trinity Episcopal at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Walsingham Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Western Branch at 1:00 p.m. Western Branch will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Walsingham Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
