Baseball Recap: Wausau West Comes Up Short

Wausau West couldn't beat Merrill on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Warriors came up short against the Bluejays, falling 13-5. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bluejays earlier this season, when they won 5-0.

Wausau West's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Merrill, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.

Wausau West will challenge Mosinee at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Merrill, they will square off against Onalaska at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
