Football Recap: Lyman Wins Going Away Against Seminole

There's no place like home for Lyman, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down the Seminole Seminoles 22-6 on Tuesday. That 16 point margin sets a new team best for the Greyhounds this season.

The critical scores for Lyman came from Jade Perez, ABIGAIL ARMSTRONG, and Adalyn Gutherman.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lyman's defense and their three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut ANSLEE LEASON. She also made four total tackles, which is notable because Lyman is 2-1 when she posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise.

The win got Lyman back to even at 3-3. As for Seminole, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lyman will face off against Evans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lyman's defense has only allowed 12.3 points per game this season, so Evans' offense will have their work cut out for them. Seminole will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th.
