Basketball Recap: Boerne Greyhounds vs. Canyon Lake
The Boerne Greyhounds can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Canyon Lake on the road to the tune of 60-28. Boerne is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 11 straight.
Casen Hoegemeyer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Hank Hendrix was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Boerne has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season. As for Canyon Lake, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-18.
Boerne will be playing at home against the Billies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fredericksburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 782nd, while the Greyhounds are ranked 260th). As for Canyon Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against the Texans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
