Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's Saints vs. Enloe Eagles + How To Watch

The St. Mary's Saints will square off against the Enloe Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's will be strutting in after a win while Enloe will be coming in after a loss.

If St. Mary's beats Enloe with 40 points on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Saints came out on top against St. Thomas More Academy by a score of 40-31 last Friday. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Chancellors recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Janelle Gyampo had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (seven). Another player making a difference was Beatrice Duffy, who shot 45% from the field en route to 13 points.

St. Mary's smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Enloe had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a hard 42-26 fall against Cary. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 23 in a row.
