Axtell came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Hanover Wildcats by a score of 70-61. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Despite the loss, Hanover still got an impressive performance from Tanner Bruna, who went 8 of 12 en route to 22 points and seven boards. Bruna's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Braylon Meyn was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Axtell pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hanover, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

Axtell has already played their next matchup (against Doniphan West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hanover will be playing in front of their home fans against Diller-Odell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hanover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season.
