Soccer Recap: Fresno Comes Up Short

Fresno lost against Edison last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fresno Warriors fell 3-1 to the Edison Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 424th, while the Tigers are ranked 48th).

Fresno has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-6 record this season. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 12-6-2 McLane and 10-6-6 Sanger (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 72.2% over those games). As for Edison, their record is now 17-2-5.

Fresno wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 7-1 defeat against McLane on the 11th. As for Edison, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against Sanger on the 11th.
