Williamsburg Academy suffers seventh straight loss at home

This season hasn't been kind to the Williamsburg Academy Stallions, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were dealt a 42-0 defeat at the hands of Christian Academy on Friday. That was the first shutout Williamsburg Academy has experienced all season.

Carly Belle Jackson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten steals for Christian Academy. Another player making a difference was Mary Claire MacDonald, who scored six points along with eight steals.

Williamsburg Academy bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Christian Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williamsburg Academy will face off against Florence Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Florence Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Tuesday. As for Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Carolina Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carolina Academy is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
