Baseball Recap: Munster's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Lincoln-Way Central hit Munster with a five-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs fell just short of the Knights by a score of 6-5. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Mason Jarrett made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Craig, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Munster's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3. As for Lincoln-Way Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Munster will square off against Lowell at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln-Way Central, they will take on Batavia at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
