Basketball Game Preview: Highland Huskies vs. Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves

Highland hasn't had much luck against Winfield-Mt. Union recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Both will meet in a canine-themed contest at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Tuesday, Highland came up short against Columbus and fell 53-46. The game marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Winfield-Mt. Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell to Hillcrest Academy 62-56. Even if the Wolves couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Having lost for the first time this season, Highland fell to 4-1. As for Winfield-Mt. Union, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Highland strolled past Winfield-Mt. Union in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 49-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Highland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
