Baseball Recap: Upper Darby Takes a Loss

Upper Darby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to the Lower Merion Aces. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Royals of the 8-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Upper Darby's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lower Merion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Upper Darby will face off against Norristown at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lower Merion, they will square off against Garnet Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Garnet Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Lower Merion's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
