Recap: Hancock Central Bulldogs vs. Greene County Tigers

The Hancock Central Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 69 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 70-69 to Greene County. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (58), Hancock Central still had to take the loss.

Hancock Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dontriel Grable, who scored 14 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Ingram, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.

Hancock Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Hancock Central still hasn't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5. As for Greene County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Hancock Central will be home for the holidays to greet Putnam County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Putnam County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matchups -- so hopefully Hancock Central likes a good challenge. Greene County and Jackson will round out the year against one another at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th at. Jackson is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
