Basketball Recap: Tesoro Takes a Loss

Tesoro lost against San Juan Hills back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tesoro Titans were beaten by the San Juan Hills Stallions 67-25. The game marked the Titans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mason Hodges was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 16 rebounds for San Juan Hills. Hodges has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 14 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Aziz, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 16 points and five steals.

Tesoro dropped their record down to 15-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for San Juan Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tesoro will face off against Dana Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tesoro is facing Dana Hills at the right time seeing as Dana Hills is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for San Juan Hills, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against San Clemente at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with San Clemente sitting on seven straight wins and San Juan Hills on three.
