Volleyball Game Preview: St. James Sharks vs. Myrtle Beach Seahawks

St. James hasn't had much luck against Myrtle Beach recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Sharks will challenge the Seahawks at 6:30 p.m. St. James will be strutting in after a win while Myrtle Beach will be coming in after a defeat.

St. James is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Goose Creek with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sharks.

St. James' got stronger as the match went on, holding Goose Creek to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Myrtle Beach faced North Myrtle Beach in a battle between two of the state's top teams two weeks ago. The Seahawks came up short against the Chiefs, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Seahawks have suffered since November 7, 2024.

While Myrtle Beach was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-22.

St. James' win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Myrtle Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-3-2.
