Basketball Recap: Bethel Baptist Academy Starts Season with Loss at Home

Bethel Baptist Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Ocean County Christian Academy an easy 49-28 victory. The Miners' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Bethel Baptist Academy lost on Monday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nathan Stahl, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 boards. The dominant performance also gave Stahl a new career-high in steals (four). Another player making a difference was Bobby Konstantinidis, who posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Bethel Baptist Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bible Baptist Christian at 5:00 p.m. As for Ocean County Christian Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Calvary Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
