Volleyball Game Preview: Chicopee Comp Colts vs. Holyoke Purple Knights

The Chicopee Comp Colts will square off against the Holyoke Purple Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chicopee Comp will be strutting in after a victory while Holyoke will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Chicopee Comp got the win against Pittsfield by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won four in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Chicopee Comp was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Holyoke came up short against Pioneer Valley Christian on Monday and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Purple Knights in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Holyoke's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Chicopee Comp, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Chicopee Comp was able to grind out a solid win over Holyoke in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Colts repeat their success, or do the Purple Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
