Baseball Recap: Nashville Christian Comes Up Short

Nashville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 13-4 to the Friendship Christian Commanders. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 24-0 to the Commanders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nashville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Friendship Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Nashville Christian will be playing at home against Donelson Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.78 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Friendship Christian, they will head out to face off against Goodpasture Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Commanders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
