Soccer Recap: Asheville Takes a Loss

After soaring to nine goals the game before, Asheville was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wando Warriors. While losing is never fun, Asheville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 44th in North Carolina, while Wando are ranked tenth in South Carolina).

Asheville's goal came courtesy of Addie Case, who's now up to nine this season.

Asheville's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for Wando, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Asheville will be playing in front of their home fans against Enka at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Wando, they are taking a road trip to square off against Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wando are facing Stratford at the right time seeing as Stratford are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
