Softball Recap: Cox Falcons vs. Landstown Eagles
In what's become a running theme this season, Cox gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Landstown Eagles a 12-0 shutout. The victory was some much needed relief for Cox as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Alexa Colon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Colon has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Colon was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
