Basketball Recap: Silver Bluff Bulldogs vs. McCormick Chiefs
After losing to the McCormick Chiefs the last time they met, the Silver Bluff Bulldogs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Silver Bluff walked away with a 57-44 victory over the Chiefs on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Silver Bluff.
Silver Bluff had a senior duo take command as Justin Perry dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds and Terrell Williams scored seven points along with nine rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydon Eason, who scored ten points.
Silver Bluff has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season. As for McCormick, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-3.
Silver Bluff will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Strom Thurmond is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for McCormick, they and the Blue Flashes will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
