Basketball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield lost against Twin Valley back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Springfield Cosmos took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Twin Valley Wildcats. The Cosmos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Twin Valley found their leader in sophomore Brayden Brown, who went 13-for-20 en route to 39 points along with eight boards and five assists. The contest was Brown's 20th in a row with at least 15 points. Carson McHale was another key player, putting up six points in addition to nine rebounds and four steals.

Springfield now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Twin Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will square off against Rivendell Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Springfield is facing Rivendell Academy at the right time seeing as Rivendell Academy is stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Twin Valley, they will face off against Leland & Gray at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
