Cheyenne Mountain won the last time they faced Mesa Ridge and things went their way on Thursday too. The Red-Tailed Hawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Grizzlies.

Cheyenne Mountain never let Mesa Ridge on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-14, 25-14.

Carter Noleen paced Cheyenne Mountain's offense, picking up 13 kills. Noleen got some help from Ari Martin and his 28 assists. Martin also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Gabe Salcido, racking up two apiece.

Cheyenne Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Mesa Ridge, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Coming up, Cheyenne Mountain will take on Greeley Central at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red-Tailed Hawks are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Mesa Ridge, they will face off against Rampart at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
