Basketball Recap: Homer Takes a Loss

Homer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 41-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westwood Rebels.

Despite the loss, Homer still got an impressive performance from Benjamin Roost, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Homer's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Westwood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Homer and Westwood could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in their respective state rankings. Homer (ranked 253rd) will meet Archbishop Bergan (ranked 77th) at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Westwood (ranked 235th) will meet Ridge View (ranked 30th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
