With a playoff win on the line, Medina rose to the challenge on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Southwestern Trojans a 4-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won eight contests in a row.

Southwestern's batters probably weren't too happy with Brody Fry, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 13 Ks (he gave up zero walks). Fry has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carter Woodworth, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. Another player making a difference was Camden Fike, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Medina's victory bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Southwestern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

As of now, neither Medina nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
