Basketball Recap: Century Skates Past Lincoln with Ease

Century put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lincoln Cardinals 77-34. Fans of the Jaguars have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Century was led to victory by Olivia Ervin and Kiara Green. Ervin dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards, while Green dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. The game was Green's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Brownson, who posted ten points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Century's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-0. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Century will head out on the road to square off against St. Mary's Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Century knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully St. Mary's Academy likes a good challenge. As for Lincoln, they will welcome Reynolds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
