Soccer Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Kennedy was not quite American's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the American Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3-3. As for American, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-9-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will head out to square off against Dublin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for American, they are taking a road trip to take on Moreau Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Moreau Catholic will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something American surely won't give up without a fight.
