Preview: Douglass Hurricanes vs. Davis Aerospace Tech Aviators

Douglass is 7-0 against Davis Aerospace Tech since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Douglass Hurricanes on the road again and play against the Davis Aerospace Tech Aviators at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Douglass scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Osborn 78-41 on the road. The victory was just what Douglass needed coming off of a 92-46 loss in their prior matchup.

Meanwhile, Davis Aerospace Tech had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They claimed a resounding 51-16 victory over Academy of the Americas on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Davis Aerospace Tech has posted yet this season.

Davis Aerospace Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jontae Brooks, who scored 17 points. Braylin Edwards-Porter was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Douglass is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Davis Aerospace Tech, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Douglass against Davis Aerospace Tech in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 65-22 victory.
