Soccer Recap: Oak Grove Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Oak Grove lost against Brandon back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Oak Grove Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brandon Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly two goals.

Oak Grove's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-7-1. As for Brandon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Grove will head out to take on St. Stanislaus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in St. Stanislaus' favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Oak Grove has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Brandon, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Madison Central at 12:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
