Christian entered their tilt with Mater Dei Catholic on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Crusaders. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 7-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Alyssa McCurty spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ashley Wood, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).

Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-3-1. As for Mater Dei Catholic, they moved to 10-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against Mira Mesa on the 4th. As for Mater Dei Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-1 win against Gahr on the 2nd.
