Basketball Recap: Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School Comes Up Short

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 59-45 to the San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-50 back in December of 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Day Edwards, who posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was Carter Kelly, who had 13 points.

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School will face off against Desert Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Desert Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School likes a good challenge.
