Cripple Creek-Victor came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Pikes Peak Christian Eagles, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pioneers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-5, 25-18.

Madison Mead paced Cripple Creek-Victor's offense, picking up three kills. Mead were helped by Allyson Durham and Savannah Mead, who contributed two assists each. Madison was also a major player on defense: she and Katie Bennett shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Cripple Creek-Victor has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season. As for Pikes Peak Christian, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2.
