Basketball Recap: Mt. Salus Christian Gets the Win

On Wednesday, the Mt. Salus Christian Eagles escaped with a win against the Riverdale Academy Rebels by the margin of a single free throw, 1-0.

Mt. Salus Christian is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.6 points per game. As for Riverdale Academy, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Mt. Salus Christian will challenge Claiborne Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Claiborne Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Mt. Salus Christian likes a good challenge. Riverdale Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
