Recap: Highline Pirates vs. Foster Bulldogs
This season hasn't been kind to the Highline Pirates, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They were outmatched by Foster on the road and fell 67-31. Highline lost against Foster in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 57-19 score last time.
Ariyana Deloney was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 32 points, 13 rebounds, and ten steals for Foster. The match was Deloney's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mia Pittman , who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Highline's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.5 points per game. As for Foster, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Highline will be playing in front of their home fans against Lindbergh at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Foster, they will head out on the road to face off against Renton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
