Baseball Game Preview: South Western Mustangs vs. Red Lion Lions

South Western hasn't had much luck against Red Lion recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will welcome the Lions at 4:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

South Western is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Monday. They fell 10-5 to Central York.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Red Lion duked it out with Northeastern on Monday. The Lions fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-1. Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bobcats since on Monday.

Ben Martin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, Luke Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Lawrence, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

South Western's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Red Lion, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6-1 record this season.
