Pe Ell extends home winning streak to four

Recap: Pe Ell Trojans vs. Willapa Valley Vikings

The Pe Ell Trojans entered their tilt with the Willapa Valley Vikings with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Pe Ell walked away with a 48-39 win over Willapa Valley on Tuesday. This was payback for Pe Ell, who suffered a 37-25 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Willapa Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tylar Keeton, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Keeton has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Rilyn Channell was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds.

Pe Ell pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Willapa Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pe Ell the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Non Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Willapa Valley will take on Ilwaco at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
