Basketball Recap: Berlin Skates Past Amistad with Ease

Berlin won the last time they faced Amistad and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Berlin Redcoats blew past the Amistad Wolves 48-14. With the Redcoats ahead 33-9 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Berlin was led to victory by Katie Litwinko and Brooke Walker. Litwinko went 5 for 11 en route to 12 points in addition to five boards and four steals, while Walker almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. That's the most steals Litwinko has posted since back in February of 2024. Ava Desmarais also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Berlin is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for Amistad, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Berlin will challenge Enfield at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Berlin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season. As for Amistad, they will head out to take on Wilby at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
