Softball Game Preview: Oxford Hornets vs. Henderson Warriors

The Oxford Hornets are taking a road trip to face off against the Henderson Warriors at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Oxford fell victim to Bayard Rustin and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Golden Knights. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Golden Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Henderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They came up short against Downingtown West, falling 10-0.

Oxford's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Henderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.

Oxford took their victory against Henderson in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
