Northwestern Regional has gone a perfect 10-0 against Gilbert recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Highlanders will look to defend their home court against the Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. Northwestern Regional will be strutting in after a victory while Gilbert will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Northwestern Regional made easy work of Terryville and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Highlanders.

Northwestern Regional was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-6, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Gilbert had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to Canton on Monday. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Gilbert was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Canton work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 26-24, 25-14.

Northwestern Regional's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Gilbert, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Northwestern Regional's way against Gilbert in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Northwestern Regional made off with a 3-0 win.
