Basketball Recap: Cornersville's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Cornersville had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-34 win over the Hughes Lions. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Lions are ranked 328th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cornersville's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Hughes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Cornersville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hughes, they will take on Perry County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hughes is facing Perry County at the right time seeing as Perry County is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
