Volleyball Recap: Nettleton Comes Up Short

The Nettleton Tigers didn't have quite enough to beat the Wheeler Eagles on Saturday and fell 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Nettleton sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 17-25, 15-10.

Wheeler's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marlee Hutcheson, who had nine digs and nine assists.

Nettleton's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Wheeler, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Nettleton will face off against Mantachie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheeler, they will challenge Potts Camp at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
