Softball Recap: Wahama Victorious

Wahama extended their postseason success on Thursday against Greenbrier West. They came out on top against the Cavaliers by a score of 11-6. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the White Falcons' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The team relied heavily on Payton Staats, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Kalyn Christian, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

Wahama's record now sits at 29-8. As for Greenbrier West, their record is now 19-10.

Looking ahead, Wahama will square off against Pendleton County at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcat will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the White Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. Greenbrier West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
