Tularosa dropped their record down to 14-7 on Saturday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 13-2 to the Cobre Indians. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Cobre, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games.

For Cobre's part, Bella Saiz made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Saiz has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 11 contests.

In other batting news, Cobre got a big performance out of Alexis Carrillo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Those three hits gave Carrillo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anahi Madrid, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
