League recap: Cascade extends winning streak with victory over Union

Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A District 4 this week, Cascade beat Union 30-21. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Cougars.

Cascade moved up to 71 from 112 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Gerald Ross' team was able to move up by beating the Knights 30-21.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Cascade takes on second place Mt. Vernon.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Center Point-Urbana takes on Monticello. The Stormin' Pointers have allowed 67 points this season, while the Panthers have given up 83. Center Point-Urbana allowed 35 points last week as it fell to Beckman.

Northeast lost to Mt. Vernon 40-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
