Basketball Game Preview: Rich Township Raptors vs. Bloom Blazing Trojan

Rich Township is 2-8 against Bloom since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rich Township Raptors will host the Bloom Blazing Trojan at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Last Friday, Rich Township strolled past Crete-Monee with points to spare, taking the game 56-38. Given the Raptors' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Warriors are ranked 113th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bloom was able to grind out a solid victory over Thornton on Friday, taking the game 53-46.

Rich Township better keep an eye on Joe Jones. He was instrumental in Bloom's win, putting up four points. Jones is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played.

Bloom's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Rich Township, they pushed their record up to 20-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
