Baseball Game Preview: Washington Eagles vs. Mission Bears

For the second straight game, Washington will face off against Mission. The Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Bears at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Washington took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Mission 10-2. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Dominic Teran made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs. He has become a key player for Washington: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-15 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Liam Troy, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one stolen base. Malcolm Choy was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Washington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.
