Baseball Recap: Page Takes a Loss

Page lost against Chinle on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sand Devils fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4. The Sand Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shaine Begay was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three runs. He is becoming a predictor of Page's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-1 (and 6-10 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Mckyle Manygoats, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Page's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Chinle, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Page nor Chinle have any future games scheduled.
