Recap: Hudsonville Eagles vs. Caledonia Fighting Scots
There's no place like home for the Hudsonville Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-45 victory over Caledonia on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hudsonville also won the last time the pair played back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Caledonia lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kyan Vanderwoude. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Jaiden Googins was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Hudsonville's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Caledonia, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hudsonville will face off against East Kentwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Kentwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Caledonia, they will head out on the road to challenge Jenison at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Caledonia is facing Jenison at the right time seeing as Jenison is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
