Basketball Game Preview: South Aiken Thoroughbreds vs. Crestwood Knights

The South Aiken Thoroughbreds are taking a road trip to square off against the Crestwood Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. South Aiken is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Last Wednesday, South Aiken was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-54 to Aiken.

Despite their loss, South Aiken saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kyson McLeod, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 16 points and eight boards, was perhaps the best of all. Those 16 points gave McLeod a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kelton Walker, who went 5-for-7 en route to 12 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Crestwood earned a 64-52 victory over Lakewood on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won eight in a row.

South Aiken's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Crestwood, their victory bumped their record up to 20-3.
